Government issues COVID-19 guidance for businesses
The government has issued guidance for employers and businesses, with the aim to help them battle the impacts of the coronavirus.
The guidance will assist employers and businesses in providing advice to staff on how to help prevent the spread of COVID-19; what to do if someone with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 has been in the workplace; what advice to give to individuals who have travelled to specific areas; and how to deal with absence from work resulting from COVID-19.
“If you are an employer or a business owner we encourage you to read and follow the guidance for employers and businesses, and to check this page regularly for updates,” the government has said.
The guidance can be found here.
Additional resources provided by the government include its coronavirus action plan, as well as a range of finance available to business through the government-owned British Business Bank.
