Over the past few years the IFA has been through something of a transformation. Among the many changes we have implemented are: a new brand identity and website; revised member regulations and by-laws resulting in enhanced criteria for membership; the roll-out of workshops and webinars; the introduction of IFA Direct; and, of course, a redesigned magazine with a stronger member focus.
But what do you think of the changes and do they meet your needs?
Understanding your views is critical to identifying what we are doing well and how we make improvements to make us more eﬀective.
That’s why in February you will receive an email containing a link to an online member survey. The survey is open to all members, and taking part is an important opportunity for you to play a part in shaping the IFA’s future.
I know that this is a busy time of year for many of you and we have borne this in mind when developing the survey. It should take around 10-15 minutes to complete – though the time will depend on how long you think about your responses and whether you add comments to any open questions.
The survey will be available for a month, giving you plenty of time to give us your views. One improvement we are planning this year is to produce an annual report. This will summarise our key achievements in the past year and highlight the progress made on various projects and objectives.
It will give you and prospective members an overview of the Institute’s vision, values and governance philosophy, as well as demonstrating the sustainability of the strategy for our past, present and future development.
Nominations for the IFA Awards opened on 6 January and I’m delighted to report that we have received our ﬁrst entries already. Winning or being nominated for one or several awards can improve your sales, increase awareness of your business and is a great way to recognise the contribution of your employees.
