Group Financial Accountant

Working for our blue chip client you will be responsible for the delivery of a group accounting service, including statutory accounting and reporting, and ensuring compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP. 
  
Key Accountabilities: 
• Managing the delivery of the consolidated financial statements and interim report ensuring compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP. 
• Drafting group accounting policies relating to new technical developments.
• Monitoring compliance with group accounting policies and guidance.
• Managing the group’s process for accounting for complex areas including pensions, share based payments and financial instruments.
• Managing the year end financial accounting process and liaising with external auditors.
 
Experience: 
In order to succeed in this role it is expected that you will have:
• Experience of operating in a large listed company environment either as auditor or within the finance team.
• Sound understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP accounting standards.
• Experience working in a “Big 4” environment or high flyer in medium tier firm.
• Experience of financial reporting in listed (FTSE 250) company environment (including as auditor).
 
• Accountancy qualification – ACA, ACCA or CIMA
