The Company:
They are a growing investment bank who is expanding both organically and by acquisition. They are a global financial services group with a presence across Asia, Africa, Middle East, Europe and the Americas
 
The role:
The role supports the CFO (Fin & Ops) in managing financial accounting for group companies including finalisation of monthly/ annual accounts / annual budgets and their revision if any, during the year etc. and any other ad-hoc accounting responsibilities.  The role also includes dealing with Suppliers /Banks / Back office.

Specifically the role entails the following:
•	Finalisation of Monthly accounts with agreed time frame from the end of the month.
•	Finalisation of Statutory Accounts for all group companies and prepare the audit file on timely basis and make sure the audit is completed well within agreed timelines. 
•	Review the nominal ledger on regular basis to see unusual transactions.
•	Working out the accruals / prepayment on monthly basis to complete the month end on time.
•	Reconcile all the bank accounts on timely basis and scrutiny of outstanding entries and timely resolution of those entries
•	Filing of VAT return on monthly / quarterly return.
•	Lead and deliver all filing of FSA returns on monthly / Quarterly /Annual basis
•	Analyse Admin expenses and develop the data base about rates and share the expenses analysis with senior management on periodic basis.
•	Reconciliation of all suppliers and customers at least twice a year Reconcile the payroll on monthly basis and make sure all the statutory returns are filed on time.
•	Supervising a small team

The person:
•	You must have at least 3 -5 years previous experience of investment banking or brokerage industry.
•	You must be a qualified accountant.
•	You must have a strong understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP.
•	Knowledge of UK VAT for financial services advantageous.
•	Knowledge of FSA returns for financial services advantageous.
