An award winning and historic name in banking and investment management is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their growing team.The role sits within UK finance and is aligned into the Financial Control area.  The function of this role is to take responsibility for numerous Finance tasks, as well as providing support and assistance to the Financial Controller 
	
•To take responsibility for certain month-end and ad-hoc Finance processes.  To assist the Directors with providing the company with timely and accurate financial reporting. 
Preparation of Sale Completion accounts aligned to IFRS and dealing with any related audit issues. Design and build of proforma group reporting aligned to IFRS, to be adopted by all companies in the Group.
 • Analysing accounts in the transaction processing systems and passing correcting journals where necessary. 
• Responsible for the creation of local accounting solutions to meet any new Group reporting requests as they arise.  Responsible for developing and enhancing local accounting solutions to meet existing Group reporting requirements.
 • Responsible for key sections of the annual audit process, including production of statutory accounts, and dealing with auditor queries for the companies within the Group.
 • Responsible for various ad-hoc projects, including technical support on UK GAAP and IFRS
