Financial Accountant - Global Markets

Our client is an international investment banking business which has maintained a large balance sheet and has subsequently taken a large market share over the last 2 years. Their trading desks have grown by 600% (in the last 15 months) and as a result they are looking to recruit a high calibre financial accountant to work in a team responsible for reporting on the revenues of their Equity, Rates and Credit trading business's.

This includes reconciliation and control of the company’s General Ledger; analysis of the company's’s trading activities; ensuring compliance with GAAP; developing procedures and controls to deal with new businesses and products; ensuring SOX requirements are met.

- Perform monthly reconciliation of Reported PL to GL;
- Testing and analysis for new Oracle Business Intelligence reconciliations and reports;
- Support UK GAAP, US GAAP year end and quarterly financial reporting;
- Perform daily reports and reconciliations as required;
- Perform detailed accounting analysis as required;
- Following up and resolve all issues arising from the above promptly;

Candidates must have detailed knowledge of investment banking and products traded, and will ideally be qualified accountants with knowledge of UK GAAP.
